                             RESOLUTION NO.   20271 
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT OF THE
                   CITY COUNCIL TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF SEVEN
                   THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS
                   ($7,550.00) TO TENNESSEE SPORTSFEST, SUBJECT
                   TO COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE ORDINANCES AND
                   STATUTES.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 WHEREAS, T.C.A. A7 6-54-111 and Ordinance No. 9693,
       adopted April 7, 1992, require that certain procedures be 
followed
       prior to appropriation of funds to non-profit organizations
       including the requirement for notices published in the newspaper
       which have not been complied with at this time; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, the appropriation of these funds appears to be
       appropriate, subject to compliance with the applicable 
procedures;
       	    	 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
       THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That it be and is hereby
       declared the intent of said Council to appropriate the sum of
       $7,550.00 to Tennessee Sportsfest, subject to compliance with
       applicable ordinances and statutes.
